How Do I Know If I Need Tires?
Not replacing your tires when needed is one of the top contributors to accidents. Check your tread depth. As a tire wears, its ability to perform is reduced. Especially on wet roads in the spring. The important number is 4/32”. We’ll show you how to measure your tires to see if they’re ready for the roads…or retirement.
What Tires Do I Need?
The short answer is the tires needed depends on your vehicle characteristics and desired ride quality. We suggest that you consider the following three components:
- Size: Do you want to upsize/downsize your current ride height, or do you want to keep it the same?
- Weight: The wheel weight impacts performance. Lighter wheels will improve maneuverability and braking performance, while heavier wheels increase braking distance and reduce handling.
- Terrain: Where do you drive? Do you like to go on road trips? How about up north? Primary function of your vehicle should be considered when choosing tires.
DO I NEED WINTER TIRES?
This is the most common question we get from customers. Winter tires make a noticeable difference when driving. Aside from increased safety, winter tires also lead to lower insurance rates.
